Adventures of a Timeless Town: Bugis’ Hidden History
A comic storybook and issue created to increase the interest of Singapore’s local towns through a publication work.
This work is based on Bugis’ hidden history.
An interesting story about the town would generate more curiosity and get the reader to look forward and question things about the town itself.
The publication is a 62 page comic with a complete story and comes with a collateral. It was a challenge finishing this project itself, as I only had around 3 months or less to plan and write the story, draft, configure and draw every page and panel, make its collateral and finally print and bind the publication.
Initially, I had planned to write 3 short stories, however seeing that one of my stories had already hit the minimum pages, I had settled for an “series comic” idea for my publication, where each issue of the comic series would only focus on one story, or in this case, town. Hence, I stopped myself from biting off more than I could chew.

Publication comes along with a parcel-like collateral, to mimic a package that had gone through time to reach the reader’s doorstep.
Book is enclosed inside the box collateral, to mimic a “comic-issue” delivery.
